windows 10 update sound problem

I am running licenced version of 5.2. Recently upgraded to windows 10 and there is my problem. The playback sound from Mairlist is low in volume. I am using the same audio devices as before and the same settings. Both the usb audio and the sound card level are affected. Here’s what I cannot figure out: All my other music playout software plays at the proper volume. Is there a volume control somewhere in mairlist that I cannot find? I have done all the usual adjustments in windows mixer and sound devices. The volume sliders are all up to maximum on the Mairlist players. It all worked fine with windows 7. I have found that if I normalize in mairlist editor to about 4db, the level comes back. Surely I haven’t got to do that to each music file.

All help appreciated.

I think I have found a workaround for my own problem. I use the encoder with compression and just turn the gain up to + 3db. Seems to work. Still cannot fathom how all my other sound output programs playback through the same usb codec at the correct level.

Sounds like the volume levels in the windows Sound settings.

But no, mAirList doesn’t have any volume settings I’m aware of. But it is safe to say, if it was fine in Windows 7, and not in Windows 10, then I’m guessing its 10.

But to clarify, I’ve also installed mAirList on Windows 10 for a client, and after setting all the volumes correctly, it performs ok…well normally until Windows 10 does a major update, and breaks the mAirList activation.

Hence when I’ve personally stuck with Windows 7.
