What database? - & Virtual Input, or?

Hi to all,

maybe i’m overlooking something, but it seems like there isn’t an option to give a ‘description’ or name to an added database. I my situation (multistation) i have now 3 different databases (also due to easier management). And when i start my Management i need to choose the database, and they are all called ‘Database’. Any ideas? Besides, ‘put it all in one’, that’s not an option. As, for instance, i have a seperate database for live-assist (2 studio’s with marilist for live-assist), one for 3 radiostations playout (with live inputs at certain time and automated re-runs), and onther one for a seperate station (all 4 running on 1 machine unattended). So i would really like to be able to identify the database i will be working in the pop-up.

Also it would be great to be able to remotely switch my input that goes on air at the ‘last’ moment. As i dont know what studio the crew will be in up front. I have now worked on something so they ‘tell’ me where they are. But it would be nice to have something like a virtual input, that i can give a (TCP?) command to choose one of that inputs to that ‘default’ virtual input (and see in the Ember+ Provider the choosen input op this ‘virtual’ input?). Or is there a better way. I don’t switch with the encoder, as i have external processing that returns to the encoder for streaming outputs and others.

Besides that; awesome software! i hopefully can share some scripting im working for external multi-clock view.

Hi Rien, nice to see you here.

In the database’s configuration menu there should be one tab („Advanced“?) where you can alter the name.

Did you have a look at the Stream Monitor? It receives incoming streams and automatically rebroadcasts them over your own stream.

(Generally, it is a bit confusing to mix up entirely different topics in one thread.)

3 posts were split to a new topic: Switching Live Inputs

Thanks for this, Steven!
