Hi,
Just wondering if mAirlist 4.0 has full support for UTF-8 file-names?
For example, can we load into players and play MP3 files without seeing a heap of ?? characters in file-names and player refusing to play file?
I remember your post about Delphi 2006 not supporting UTF-8, and that Delphi 2009 did support it.
You were stuck awaiting some third-party libraries to be compatible with Delphi 2009, if I remember correctly… Has this situation changed at all? Are you compiling mAirlist 4.0 in Delphi 2009?
UTF-8 support is the single biggest feature missing from mAirlist, in my humble opinion.
I would really appreciate UTF-8 support but cannot expect or demand as I’m using the community edition
The non-profit community radio stations where I’ve deployed mAirlist would benefit greatly from UTF-8 support. I can ask them to make a donation to mAirlist if that would help progress full UTF-8 support
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!
PS: thanks very much Torben for mAirlist, and offering a free community edition. It is truly a remarkable piece of software.
