Unable to play one song at once

Hi Folks,

I have no idea whats happened here but its causing me a headache!

I have 1 Playlist, Two players. If i drag a song into P1 i can play it. If i drag a song into P2 i can play it. If i drag a song into P1 AND P2 i have to play one of them before i can play the other… (I.E If i want to play P1 i have to play P2, then i am able to play P1)

When clicking oplay, it seems to go into play mode as the BG of that player goes red, but the progress bar dosent move and no sound comes out! :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

That’s probably a problem with the soundcard and its multichannel playback capabilities. What sound card model is it?

Its an mAudio 1010LT although im using old drivers because i wanted to use a patchbay :frowning:

(To route the IRN input through the computer so i could mute/unmute it!)

Ah, a Delta 1010LT.

Old drivers are just perfect! Go to the Delta control panel. There’s a setting named “MultiTrack Driver Devices”. It’s probably set to “Single and In-Sync”. You need to switch it to “Independent”.

The setting is only present in the older driver versions. M-Audio “accidently” removed it from the newer drivers, but promised to bring it back. I’m not sure if they have done so already.

Here’s another thread about the same issue: http://forum.mairlist.com/index.php/topic,4432.0.html

Problem solved. I was running the newest drivers previously but i didn’t think changing the drivers would have made the difference!

Thanks very much, i can continue to use the old drivers now =]

Cheers!
Scott

Indeed, the Delta drivers have been discussed many times now. If you’re running XP, here is the best driver. Works perfectly with mAirList.

Driver: 5.10.00.5057V3
