Transition jingles blocked by Track Separation, best practice?

Hi,

I’m using mAirList with Music blocks + Transition rules, and I’m running into an issue with transition jingles being blocked by Track Separation.

Setup:

Mini Scheduler → Selection Strategy: Smart
Track separation: 6 hours
Music blocks are scheduled normally
Transition template inserts a transition jingle after every song
Transition jingles are stored in a dedicated folder and are of type Jingle
The jingle pool is relatively small (≈10–15 items)

Problem:
During the first hour everything works as expected, but after all transition jingles have been played once, no more transition jingles are inserted for several hours.
From what I can see, the jingles are blocked by Track Separation, just like music items.

This makes sense technically, but it makes transition jingles unusable unless I either:
dramatically lower Track Separation, or massively increase the number of jingles.

Question:
What is the recommended / best-practice way to handle this?

Specifically:

Is there a way to exclude transition jingles from Track Separation / Smart Strategy?

Or should transition jingles always be handled outside Smart rules?
Is the intended workflow to disable separation rules for items of type Jingle?
I want strict separation rules for music but transition jingles to be available at all times.

Thanks in advance for clarification.

Yes, just right-click the transition‘s virtual folder and choose a different separation rule for the folder. Settings here are overruling the overall settings!
