Transferring mAirlist to new hardware

I’m sorry for asking but I want to transfer mAirlist Home Studio to new hardware. I also would like to keep all settings and my database. Songs are on a NAS and need not be moved. As I cannot find anything on the forum or in the Wiki I hope someone can help me out on this one.

So far I downloaded the same version (5.1 beta) and installed the software on the new PC. How to proceed next? Any help will be really appreciated.

Go to mAirListConfig -> Advanced -> Data Folders

Copy all files from the data folder (except license) to the same location on the new PC and you’re done.

Your activation must be reset before you can install the new license. The procedure has changed just this week:

Log into the customer area on www.mairlist.com, go to My Licenses, click Details, then follow the link under “Activation”. You will find a form which you submit. If your last activation was more than 90 days ago, the license will be reset instantly. Otherwise, I must review your request first, and your license will be put into emergency activation mode meanwhile.

Perfect! Thanks Torben!

You’re welcome. Let me know if there is any issue with the new reset form. I think I have tested it thorougly, but not too many “real” users have used it since I put it online two days or so ago.

So far so good. Emergency activation has been issued and all is working. Did miss some settings though (number of players, standard attributes) but that might have been my mistake. Up and running on a new system. Thanks again Torben.
