Why is it that Time between Fade Out and Cue Out is less than 3 sec despite the config definition ?
Guess: I think “Limit” in this case means the maximum time between Fade Out and Cue Out, a time that may not be exceeded?

Hi,
the setting is only mandate for the Auto-Cue of NEW imported files or when you re-do it in the mass editing dialogue.
Whenever you changes it in the cue editor manually there ist no restriction on this!
That example ive send was actually new synced file into the db. The max time between Fade Out and Cue Out was never above ~2sec although the file itself has some silence at the end of it.
Correct. The duration set in the configuration ist 3 seconds. As this is a limit, your observation
fits precisely.
But as u can see above my config settings are at 3 sec.
Exact: 3 seconds maximum. Any fade established by auto cue won’t be longer than that.
I get that, but there is some space for additional second at the song ive showed in the original post because the song contains a long fade out with some silence in the end. The cut before that 3 sec mark (right at 2 sec) actually sounds bad if youre mixing two songs. let say current song has C fade out and another one has slow low volume fade in, now put that signal into any kind of sound processor in between and ull get cutted mix song/signal and ur getting extremly bad transition. The problem is i cannot even manage or prolong that 2 second manually because it wont let me do it.
You can always set individual values for each marker manually via Cue Editor. Problem here is you have the cue out set erratically. Either by hand or by having selected unfavourable values in Auto Cue.

I found out what was the problem. Those two settings are not correlated. Default automation fade time defines the max default limit time between Fade out and Cue out point.
For songs with very long and slow fades, it can happen that Auto Cue sets Fade Out and Cue Out very far apart, depending on the thresholds. Which sound sound rather strange on air.
This setting tells the Auto Cue engine to set Cue Out not later than 3 seconds after Fade Out.
