Templates question.

Hi guys,

I am trying to figure out the mini scheduler and i have some questions about it.
Searching on this forum didn’t give any answers…

When creating templates you see the tabs; hour templates, music templates and transition templates. It is clear to me that the hour template is used by the mini scheduler to schedule new playlists. But what is the use of music template and the transition template? How should u use these templates and what is the purpose of them.

These questions i also have about the tabs in the templatetabs.
U there have standard, even week, odd week, 1st in month, 2nd in month, 3th in month, 4th in month, 5th in month and special.
Again… i know that standard is used by the mini scheduler, but what is the purpose of the others? And how to use them?

Searching on the forum (and google) doesn’t give any answers so I hope that someone can explain the function of these tabs.

Transition templates are new in v6.1 (not yet covered in the tutorial). In older versions you define the transition rules as part of the music template, as explained in the wiki.

The additional tabs (1st in month etc.) are used override the “standard” assignment when you have shows that run only once or twice a month, e.g. first Monday in month, or every other week.

Yes. I saw that explenaition but the tabs weren’t discribed. Your explenaition made it understandable for me…

I think the article predates the tabs which were new in v6.0. I will add description for them in the next revision.
