Sweepers and Cartwall 'start/stop' mode

I was testing a theory I had about sweepers (i.e. use a CARTWALL n START COMMAND immediately before the music track in the Playlist) when I found the following ‘problem.’

I added a Command for CARTWALL 4 START and started the Playlist in Auto mode. The cart did not play out.

I then wondered whether my preferred Cartwall Configuration setting of Mouse click START/STOP was the problem, so I tried again, using a CARTWALL 4 START/STOP command this time, and it all worked as I expected.

I suppose this behaviour is by design and not a bug? I can’t help feeling that a START (or STOP) command should always work (but I suppose there would be no need for a START/STOP command if it did…).

Probably a bug. I will investigate it.

Perhaps I have misunderstood the function of the CARTWALL n START/STOP command/Action?

Does that command simply toggle the current state of the Cartwall Player? In other words, START the Player if it is currently stopped, and STOP the Player if it is currently running?

I just want to completely understand all this before I start writing it up in the Wiki! Thanks in advance.

Yes, the START/STOP commands only start (or stop) a particular cart player. There’s no interaction with the playlist.
