Hello,
I’m new here at this forum. I made the switch from RadioDj to mAirlist so I can use VT.
I have a question. I have been reading a lot on this forum but I can’t find a solution to my problem.
In RadioDJ you can make a rotationlist where you can choose to use a sweeper in the intro or not (for example every 3th song in a hour). If the system chooses a song with no intro, there will be no sweeper played and if the intro is short, the system chooses a sweeper that will fit in the intro or, if the intro is longer, the sweeper wil start just before the first ramp. You don’t have to make any changes by hand, everytime you make a playlist the 3th song will have a sweeper in the intro.
Now the question.
Is there a way to do this in mAirlist?
Cant you use the Mix Editor, in the order of, Song - sweeper, click on song, hold shift down click sweeper, press mix editor. It will load both tracks drag the sweeper to the start of song press tick, then save
I have tried that station31. The problem is that if you do that, the next item in your playlist is going to play when the sweeper is ready.
If you put the sweeper as first in your playlist and use the mix editor, you don’t get the sweeper to ramp 1 (if the intro is longer than your sweeper). The sweeper does play but as soon as he has finished the next item in the playlist wil start playing and two songs are playing at the same time.
If you put the song first in the playlist (and you use the mix editor) you’ll get the sweeper to the ramp 1, but the next song will be played as soon as the sweeper is ready. Two songs are played at the same time then.
It would be easier when you can choose if you want to add a sweeper in every song you put in your Hour Template.
If you have one folder with sweepers of different lengths where mAirlist can choose from and it could choose a sweeper that will fit in the intro, it would be mutch easier to get an “ready to go” playlist.
Thanx for your reply station31.
But as Torben said, something like this will be available in the future. Someday
