According to the shop page you would need the Advanced Plus Edition (or Studio) but only the Studer On Air 1000/1500/2000/2500/3000 are supported.
I see there now. What wouldn’t work if I 'd connect the Studer OnAir 500?
According to Torben it’s not working. Unfortunately the 500 is using different protocols than the higher series’s.
Only way: Use physical GPIO and a (selfmade) Interface, sorry.
Well, semi-selfmade rather. The use of some zero delay arcade usb encoder module will make faderstart work.
Sorry I’m not an expert of this, Stefan can you tell me more about it please
what does it mean exactly?
so, with this hack can be make to 500 + mAirlist work well, right? This Arcade USB Encoder would be enough?
In REMOTE2 there is a number of freely-assignable relay contacts for switching purposes. Use these to act with the USB interface. Soldering the connector(s) and providing a decent housing is up to you. Refer to the Studer service manual which is freely available on the web.
Okay, Thank you Tondose!
unfortunately there is no RMOTE2 or do I need to upgrade to see?
I found it by superficially looking at the original Studer manual. Maybe there are different implementations of this console. Please refer to the appropriate documents.
it was a misunderstanding, 500 modulo has Remote2 it was on the farest page on service manual.
Unfortunatly the studer 500 can handle just the ember protocol, and mairlist can only handle ember+.
Check out this lead >> mAirlist and Velleman USB kit? << >> Koppel faderstart en/of knopstart van je mengtafel met je computer <<, you can use your GPIO for this.
On the other hand there is some bridge software around to converge ember commands into ember+ commands. But this is only IF you have the ember licence in the studer500 !
@JandeVries Oh, Thank you, thank you! Useful.
@Tondose Studer Micro Fader could be run with mAirlist? That consol also a great one.
With some external USB interface, like the said Zero Delay … Encoder, or, if communication should head in both directions, a Velleman 8055, yes. Whether native remote is supported by mAirList I can’t say.
as @JandeVries posted this Koppel faderstart en/of knopstart van je mengtafel met je computer
it seem work with mAirlist!
… and is overly expensive. Sure this suits the Studer Micro Fader? I wouldn’t guarantee.
they said: …“you have to look, or the Studer give fader/button start out. If it have it will work”
