Hi. I am having terrible trouble getting STEREOTOOL processor to work with mairlist 5.2. I have spent hours fiddling with all the settings in mairlist and stereo tool. I have tried the stand alone version of stereo tool and the dsp version. The dsp version is there in the mairlist encoder sound processing and a separate window shows up with stereo tool. but I cannot get it to work. I would be truly grateful for a step by step guide. My setup is this: Mairlist players on one screen and cartwall on another screen. This is fed into a Allen and heath XB14. I am using an esi-gigaport usb sound card with 4 stereo inputs. The return from the mixer is from the onboard mixer usb output. Thanks in anticipation.
You should take the 32bit dsp version of stereotype even if widows is 64.
And then it should work in encoder /soundprocessing.
There was a pop-up from stereotype you said?
Is there a input and output signal?
And the encoder is configured so whiteout stereotool you can broadcast?
I know it is possible to do it via DSP in mAirList, but personally for other stations I’ve installed Stereo Tools for I tend to just build a separate machine for the task.
The last time I did it, I built an over kill spec machine which allow Stereo Tools to run in realtime mode to minimise the latency. But that machine had an SSD and an i3, even though all it did was Stereo Tools. Over kill, but it has been running 24/7 for over a year now.
Thanks for the replies. In answer to henk. The dsp window of stereo tools does show a signal in and out but I can’t get it to do anything in mairlist. Not sure what you mean by encoder whiteout stereotool. Thanks
Stereotool only work’s in the encoder so you need to setup that first.
That’s why i ask is the encoder connection been setup and can you make a connection.
What do you mean with it doesn’t do anything in mairlist?
It should do something with your stream.
