Start Next Song?

Hi Guys,

I would like to create a easy script to simply “Fade to Next Song”.

What I am planning to do is use it to stop the underplaying bed for a News Bulletin. I would execute the Run Script on the “STOP” of the News Bulletin. This would then execute the “Fade to Next Song” hopefully on the bed, meaning when the news bulletin finishes so will the bed for it. It doesn’t matter on the duration of the bed. The bed will have a Volume of like -20db.

Q. How in a script can I force a “Fade to Next Song”?

Sorry, I haven’t noticed this thread until now.

Depending on whether automation is on or off at that moment, you can either use CurrentPlaylist.AutomationNext or CurrentPlaylist.AssistNext.

These commands correspond to the “Next” button in the playlist toolbar, if that is what you want.
