I’m running a 2 playlist layout each with 2 players.
Beauty is from a single “F” command you can get 2 players (1 and 3) running, having split the outputs from the players across the soundcards or soundcard outputs you can run 2 stations so easily from the same PC.
Add an all player stop command (end key) and a stop command across joined players (“F10” stops players 1 and 3) the possibilities just go on.
So now able to run audio across 2 stations each playing seperate ads.
Agreed - Very flexible… We’re currently working on 2 splits, but will most likely end up with 3. It’s a shame the Tipro keyboards are so expensive (£90 for the 32key add-on for your QWERTY) - otherwise I’d get a custom one and map some CTRL-keys to it - That way, your existing F and number keys are free for other apps.
We’re also going to be firing audio at remote sites, so will make use of the network control - I’ve already got a small VB EXE compiled with some programmable buttons.
Hmm… Certainly not the big keyboard, but the mini-numberpad looks good - Especially as you an program the keys. At the moment, I’m using the remote-starts on the desk for the playout PC, and 3 auxillary buttons on the meter-bridge of the desk for splits.
'twas good enough for Virgin Radio, so I think I can live with it for now
If you need to run a 2nd copy of mAirList (for more splits) on the same PC, just copy the folder and run the 2nd instance - the Game Port will still map to both copies (unless you want to use 2 game ports). So you can control twice the splits with the same buttons.
True. And you can even place the second copy on another monitor, if you happen to own more than one. There is a corresponding option in the confi dialog. This is exactly the eldoradio* setup: One instance with two players for music, another instance with two players for jingles etc.
