I have noticed that spacebar does not trigger automation next when set under playlist config options.
Also I cannot attach a use to the spacebar under remote control. Esc would also be useful to set a command stopping all players.

The “automation next” function works for me. Of course, the playlist under consideration must be focused in order to catch this key.
It’s a Windows-specific limitation that the spacebar cannot be used as a hotkey. This is why we “hardwired” the automation next function, you remember?

Hi Torben, my mistake I was trying to toggle between assist and automation using the spacebar.
Audition/fasteddie (audio editors) allow the use of the spacebar for play/pause so I had assumed something similar would be possible.
