It originally saves it in the winamp folder and then i have just tried moving it across into the winamp folder. put it in the main folder, scripts and plugins and it still doesnt load with mairlist.
Just incase you wanted to know, it is the .dll file that i am moving around
I know its possible but i just cant seem to do it. Can anybody tell me what i need to do please.
Sound Solution is a digital compressor/limiter/expander etc. very good.
designed originally to run with winamp but it is possible to get it to work with other software, such as mairlist. i just dont know how.
If you think you might know, downlaod it and have a go. The software is great. does a fab job. You wont be disappointed.
Failing getting it working in mairlist, is there a way that you can link it up to the windows sound control so i could get it to work with the overall output/input of the computer.

Thanks in advance.
You need the standalone version. Use the VAC (Virtual Audio Cable). Connecting each player output to the same ‘virtualaudiocable’ should work. Select the same ‘virtualaudiocable’ for the input of SoundSolution. Didn’t try it. Think about the latency and! processor usage… it’s large!
The problem is that there is nothing like a master signal in mAirList. It passes each channel separately to the sound card, which finally mixes them together.
I could imagine a solution using BASS.DLL software mixing, and all devices using the same sound card output. Then one could apply a DSP to the mixing channel, which acts as a master channel.
You need the standalone version. - Tried downloading but the page is not available at the moment!!
Use the VAC (Virtual Audio Cable). Where is this?? Is it part of sound solution?
Other option is whether its possible for a line in to the computer that winamp plays so it gets compressed. Is this possible??
or a way that the mairlist output streams through winamp so it gets compressed before playing live.??
the comment about processing is very good. it needs to be on the overall output, rather than individual channels. therefore needs really to be an input option.
I have to say here that I for one would hate it if mAirList was changed to be able to use DSPs.
The fact that mAirList does not have the ability to be hamstrung and slowed down by junk like DSPs is one of the main strengths of the product: it’s lean and mean!
Also, if you want compression, hardware boxes are really the only sensible things to use. I can recommend FocusRite for mics. and Samson boxes (or Behringer) for affordable general output compression.
The reason being is that its free, I dont have money (or the equipment) to splash out on compressors that would work with my set up. I simply want a compressor so that i can get the most out of what i have.
If it was ever to be introduced, i am sure that some people would want something like this and some wouldnt, so couldnt and option be introduced. or if you dont want them, dont add them??
Sure. Just like any other feature in mAirList, this would be optional.
I agree with Cad. It’s favorable to have a hardware box. In particular, when you are doing live shows with your mixing desk, you would want to have the microphone signal compressed as well. It makes no sense to integrate the sound processor into the playout software, because it would only affect the music then.
The only useful application I could imagine would be a pure music jukebox, running 24/7 unattendedly in automation mode.
