Sound Processing

Hello.
Is it possible to use the Sound Processing options on Mairlist to process the outputs of the players and cartwall and then to output the processed audio to my multi sound card?
eg:-
Player A audio ----> Sound Processor ------->ASIO sound card 1/2 ------->External hardware mixer input channel 1
Player B audio ----> Sound Processor ------->ASIO sound card 3/4 ------->External hardware mixer input channel 2
Player C audio ----> Sound Processor ------->ASIO sound card 5/6 ------->External hardware mixer input channel 3
Cartwall audio ----> Sound Processor ------->ASIO sound card 7/8 ------->External hardware mixer input channel 4

I have been looking at the Mairlist config and cannot workout if this is possible.
Maybe the sound processing can only be used to feed the encoder?

I know it’s possible with by using other external processing software but I’m trying to keep the workload of the PC to a minimum.

Any info would be of use. Thank you.

There is no way to add sound processing to the individual players right now. This may change in a future version :slight_smile:

Most people only use sound processing for the master signal anyway. It’s quite uncommon to process the single players individually.

Hi Torben.
Thanks for the reply.
It would be a nice feature for the future as it helps lazy presenters and DJ’s manage audio levels with just a light limiter or AGC type of processing.

It will never sound as good as if it way played by a non-lazy, well-trained presenter…

That’s true…not many of us left! ::slight_smile:
