Segue without fade

I notice that BSI’s Info Editor file tagging program
http://www.bsiusa.com/software/info_edit/info_editor.php
solves this problem by having a No fade as segue checkbox (though I think they actually mean No fade at Segue point).

This seems like a good idea because I think it would be fairly easy to:

a) change the label of the Fade tag in the PFL, Extra PFL, and mAirListTag windows/dialogs to Segue,

b) add a single Boolean value to the mAirList MP3 tag field,

c) add a single No fade at Segue checkbox to the PFL, Extra PFL, and mAirListTag windows and dialogs, and

c) change the mAirList automation logic to not fade out the current Player if this tag value is set to on / true / 1 / -1 (programmer’s joke! ).

What does everyone else think (especially Torben!)?

May I add my support for a no fade at segue point as well (being a fan of BSI stuff)

Doesn’t this coincide with the request for a “Start Next” cue point (which will certainly be added)? If you don’t want a fade, you can just define Start Next instead of Fade Out then.

Correct, I believe. Thank you for the clarification.

Yes you are right: functionally they are the same thing. I did not know that Start Next was already on the 'to-do' list: apologies! -- BFN CAD
