Help! I need somebody Help! Not just anybody Help! You know I need someone Help! […] Help me if you can, I’m feeling down
So, here is what I want and I’d need your step-by-step guidance in this
RULES, Breakable unbreakable rules, for All categories, or for just a song
• Minimum Rest
(records must not rest for less than the specified amount of time)
• Max Plays / Day
(prevents a record from playing if it has already played the specified number of times during the same day)
Sliding Play Offset Window
(Prevents records from playing in a window around each of the specified number of nearest plays)
•Separation Time
Artist, Title, Track
(for example: Dua Lipa feat. Bruno Mars, how can I prevent the next song would not be Bruno Mars or Dua Lipa? )
I want alternative Rules
How can I scheduling separating slow songs (love songs (75-85bpm), for example:
I want play maximum 2 love songs followings / only in every 2 hrs
I want play maximum 2 love songs followings /only in every 2 hrs between 6am to 20hrs
I want play maximum 3 love songs followings / in every hrs between 20pm to 6am
HOW?
Seperation for genres,
Weighting for genres,
Can I make separation ruling by attributes like song of the energy?
Some of your requests might not be possible at all or difficult to do. I’ll grab a few things that are quite easy to setup. I assume you have the mAirlist Database in some form already up and running.
It only can be done for scheduled playlists, nothing will prevent a Show host pulling 2 songs of the same artist into the playlist during a live show.
You can setup a Title/ Artist Sepration time in the mAirlist Database configuration, you can setup How Many hours between each scheduling. per Artist and per Title.
Also mAirlist detects the feat. artists and will blok both. That function got the nick name “Rihanna Feature”, Search fro it here in the forum and you will find how that works. Since mAirlist Version 7.3 it is fully customizable. Rihanna Feature - #9 by uli.mairlist
You need to add your own Attributes for this and add this information manually to all your music files within the mAirlist Database. That could be anything, for example mood, is the song a happy one ore more a dark one. Tempo, not necessariliie bpm but could just be a description like slow, mid tempo, up tempo, fast.
All these information need to be available for all of your files, once that is done you can use it within the (Mini)Scheduler in your clock templates.
thanks for guiding, yes I have mAirlist database, but I’m using MusicMaster 8 for scheduling and creating playlists, then import that. I just want to switch to mAirlist scheduling avoiding double works as I do for now.
these are the bottle neck in mArlit, right? • Minimum Rest • Max Plays / Day • Sliding Play Offset Window
Well kind of. It was intended that way, because mAirlist as a Playout System did not want to compete with any scheduling software out there but cooperate with them, while the MiniScheduler was introduced.
Also there is years of experiance in that Scheduling technology, that mairlist does not have.

yepp unfortunately…
I want to try Myriad Schedule, but this moment that new release not compatible with mArlist, but they are working on that.
