Hi All,
Updated my installation to 7.4.5 and am now seeing strange issues with the scheduler.
My hour template is very simple and looks like this:
The output I get generates a playlist way longer than an hour, with it generating an hour correctly then adding lots of songs on the end one after another. I haven’t changed any of my templates and have simply just updated mAirlist? Suggestions please?
I’m not aware of any recent changes to the scheduler that might cause this, but do you happen to know which version you used before? You may be able to look it up in the system log archive, it’s written to the log on every start.
Just checked my log and it was indeed 7.4.4.
Is there anything else that could be causing this behaviour? I have been away from the station for a few weeks so some inexperienced fingers could have been involved
According to the Git logs, there haven’t been any changes related to the scheduler between 7.4.4 and 7.4.5.
You may want to roll back to 7.4.4 to confirm that the problem is not actually caused by the update.
Overscheduling can have several causes, the most simple one being that someone has explicitly set an “Overschedule by…” in the element settings
Tried the rollback and am still seeing the same behaviour. Somebody has been fiddling I suspect.
My hours that are being generated always have an start hour mark of 14:00 even though this may be hour 18:00. It’s like this for every hour. See example below
Check the “News Container” item in the library (ID 800), some may have messed around with its timing settings there. Set them back to “Normal”.
This was it Torben… I’m about to go find the DJ who’s on air at 2pm hahaha
