Request: Wiki connecting an external mixer

Hi Torben,

Given the several questions on this forum (and especially for me ;)), I would request a Wiki: "How to connect an external mixer with mAirList using a USB soundcard? ".

Questions e.g.:

[ul][li]Which settings to use in MS Windows?[/li]
[li]Which settings to use in mAirList?[/li]
[li]Which USB audio interface most suited? Number of inputs and outputs?[/li]
[li]How to connect cables? Which cables?[/li]
[li]How is audio routed?[/li]
[li]Fadestart? [/li][/ul]

Goal is to connect Player A, Player B, Cart and PFL to a separate fader on the mixer, and the total mix in return to mAirList / Encoder

Highly appreciated!

Actually I see that there are a lot of people out there who could use such a tutorial with very basic information about the basics of audio, cabling, … I’m not quite sure if this isn’t beyond the scope of the official mAirList documentation.

Just like the user manual that comes with your new car doesn’t cover the basics of driving.

While most unexperienced hobby users will learn how to use mAirList pretty well, the main target audience of the Home edition is still those people who are a bit more experienced, or at least willing to learn (from other sources) how all the audio stuff works, before they install such a sophisticated automation software

If someone wants to contribute such a tutorial, I will appreciate it, and we can include it in the new mAirList Wiki. But I will focus my writing efforts on topics that are more closely related to the configuration and usage of mAirList. There is a lot of articles to come

Have a look at my post for the Behringer DX2000. I can give you help if you get stuck. Maybe ill grab some screen shots and post on Facebook if I get time.
