Hi
Im new to Mairlist and I was wondering once our Remote Voice Tracker has filled his hour with voice tracks how does he then save the playlist so the voicetracks come up in that hour when playlist loaded into studio?
Remote voice tracking requires a mAirListDB set up on the main studio computer, including hour templates, scheduling etc.:
https://wiki.mairlist.com/tutorials:mairlistdb:getting-started
Then you run the mAirListDB Server (“DBServer” for short) on the studio PC, add users to it, and possibly open the TCP port it uses on your router (port forwarding).
On the remote end, install mAirList with the VT license, go to config, and add the connection to the server (“mAirListDB Internet Client”).
All covered here: https://wiki.mairlist.com/tutorials:mairlistdb:mairlistdb-server
Once the connection has been set up, the remote user can access the prepared schedule in the DB playlist editor, and use the VT button to record their voice tracks.
yes saw that, but once they’ve recorded they have recorded their voicetracks in an hour what do they do then ? click save? how does that appear in the playlist? do we have to regenerate the playlist? that bit of it isn’t covered in the wiki.
When they use the VT recorder with in the DB playlist editor, and save their VT, the “Import to database” dialog will pop up and prompt them to upload the tracks.
Make sure you configure import settings in the DB admin settings correctly (destination storage etc.).
