Remote Control through RDP - Freeze Upon Exit

We have been acessing out MairList servers through RDP for years. Since a couple of weeks MairList is freezing most of the time once a RDP session is beeing closed. Any idea how to solve this issue?

Torben: This is not the issue/solution (https://www.mairlist.com/forum/index.php/topic,8758.msg58331.html#msg58331). RDP is alway set to play sound on the remote machine on our systems and this has worked fine for years - until now.

No reply here so for now VNC is the workaround, even though it’s quite limited in regards of display size.

From the very beginning I always used anything but RDP. At the moment I’m using Anydesk and I’m really happy with it. Teamviewer I don’t like any more.

I did not digg any deeper to figure out these Audio Problems, I think I have seen something similar and unfortunately you never know what hurdles the next Windows Update will bring you.
So I stick with 3rd party software but also ran into problems on VNC, repeated crashes of the VNC server service.

I am running mAirList since more than 2 years (Professional Studio 5.3 MultiInstance) on a Windows Server 2012R2 VPS and access it via RDP all the time. No problems at all.

Make sure to disable audio redirection in RDP client!
