Tony, you’ve just discovered why my next Wiki addition will be a full list of ALL the Config. options (God help me!) and what they all do. I’ve made a bit of a start on this, put up the first bits of scaffolding, measured up the room etc.
I know there is a list of Config. options in the online HTML manual section, but I think it’s somewhat behind the options actually available in 1.5.57/2.0.0.
As new users will discover, they are not confined to 'this is how it works' … just the users own preferences, which together with the ease of use really is sweet.
I couldn't agree more. In fact, you've just summed up all the things I love about mAirList!
Almost nothing is ‘set in stone,’ and you have a very usable ‘construction set’ (as I describe mAirList in the Wiki) with which to build what you need, rather than trying out n different playout systems, all of which are ‘good, but it doesn’t do x,’ or ‘good set of functions, but is unreadable,’ or ‘oh my God it looks terrible!’
It sounds like you’ve been down that painful trail as well, right?
Once one gets one’s head around the mAirList concept, one can’t help wondering why no-one else has had the utterly brilliant idea of writing TOTALLY USER-CONFIGURABLE playout software before now.
