I have a folder lets say its full of mp3 files. This folder is regularly updated, new files are added, old ones are taken away on a regular basis etc. Is it possible for mairlist to simply pick one of those files at random and play it on an automation event?
Yes, certainly. You would build your playlist template using the folder (amongst others). The scheduler will then randomly draw from the folder as the playlists are created. Take a look at instructions and Wiki regarding creating playlists.
