We come to you because we are testing the version 4 (we would be very interested to enter these
tests to acquire the version). We install sql Server Express and use SPLcreator.
We encounter a pb when saving playlists “conversion error of data type varchar to real”.
Another pb observed when we generated via playlist hour in the database template we see
not just our unsorted folders.
Please help us thank you.
The MSSQL backend is a brand new feature in the current beta, and it hasn’t been tested a lot. The original code was for PostgreSQL and SQlite, so some of the SQL statements might still need a little tweaking for T-SQL (the SQL dialect used by MSSQL).
In the error dialog you see, is there a “Details” button? If so, it will bring you to a detailed error dialog from which you can send a bug report. Please do so so I can see where exactly the problem is.
Can you please give a little more details about the second problem? I think I don’t fully understand what you mean.

Following I installed Postgres v8 and everything works great. We continue our testing phase with obvious pleasure.
about bugs with SQL Express I attach the file bug report.

The MSSQL backend should work fine again in the latest v4 snapshot.
