I wonder if more people think this request is a good idea, which is why I am posting it here.
The On air and Off air modes can also be used to make a studio active or inactive. To make this work, an automatic switching of audio routing would probably be a nice addition. This is to let the sound run through the mixer in On air mode and to send the sound outside the mixer in Off air mode.
One possibility would be to create a kind of option in the configuration software where the audio routing settings should have 2 options per signal. Both On air and Off air.
There are enough hardware studio switches with which you can also realize this, but in my opinion this should also be possible to implement in software. Especially with the rise of digital audio transfer such as Dante, this would be a great option I think.
I would like to hear what the thoughts are on this request.
