Trying out the new version and new containers. After creating a new “news container” in the database I got the news audio in the list of content by dragging and dropping. But when going to the imaging tab I’m not able to type anything in the fields. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
Drag something onto it with the mouse!

I apologize if this has been up before, but how can I create this News Container in the Database?
Can I use this News Container in my hour templates so the Mini Scheduler will generate the News at the Top of the Hour?
From the Add menu on the Library tab.
Then drag some other library items into it.
News Container is created.

about Download every our a freshly News file, i’ve solved the problem using The download Action trough Event Manager, so every hour @ .55 minute from 07 am To 16 pm mAirlist will automaticalli download a new news file.
This is a usefull function inside mairlist to allow users to download files from http or ftp servers
Regards question about News Beds, well, for the too loud problem, i suggest you to edit bed and decrease level, about how to stop it , sorry i dunno how help you, My news file are preproduced, so i use just an a opener and closer jingle.
Finally about last question, strange that specific item doest work, however alternately, if you have news to be played @ top of the hour, you can save a News container as a single playlist element, then use it with the combination of event/ append playlist file action as first before load the new hour database playlist.
Personally my problem to be solved about news is to cut silence automatically at beginning or end of my news file…i need to find a tool that will monitor the folder where my news mp3 file is downloaded every hour, and will analyze it cutting digital silence if necessary.

Does the file name on the server change every hour? Most news services used fixed URLs (same filename all the time).
For the music bed, you can edit it in the DB library and set an appropriate (negative) amplification, then reassign it to the container.
