Mono output assigned to one side of stereo output

All-

I’m wondering whether mAirList has the ability to “mix” its stereo playout and assign the resulting mono to one side of a soundcards stereo output?

I’m looking at the CardDeluxe soundcard, which has the typical L & R output.
I wish to assign the mAirlist players to one side and the cartwall to the other (of course, both would be mono). CardDeluxe told me that this arrangement would need to be done in the mAirList software and may be possible with programs that use the WDM drivers. It’s works in SoundForge apparently.

Thank you.

That’s not supported currently. Why would you want to do that anyway? Why don’t you just get a multichannel sound card?

Thank you Torben-

I was looking at using that card because I already own it. It’s been looking for a new computer home for some time. Okay, I’ll probably get a Delta 44, unless someone suggests something more appropriate.

I have seen a couple of playout apps offer that function - but this was in the early days and really for laptop users who typically only had a stereo output to play with. Remember that any cheap ‘n’ nasty 7.1 sound card will get you 3 stereo outputs if you define it as multi-channel within Control Panel. If, of course, you want slightly better audio specs and perhaps balanced audio then of course “pro” is the way to go!

Thank you Charlie.
