Missing a second encoder for streaming

Hi everyone!

The situation:
mairlist 4.3.9

I am running 2 stations on the same computer.

Output from radiostation 1 is going to breakaway 1. (soundprocessing)

The input for the encoder in mairlist is the output of breakaway 1.
The encoder send to the streamhost, everything is fine.

Output from radiostation 2 is going to breakaway 2.
Because it’s not posible to route the output to another encoder in mairlist I have a standalone stream program, edcast.
So, the output from breakaway 2 is going to edcast, from edcast to streamhost. Also works fine.

The problem is, that I can not send artist en titel info from radiostation 2.
What is the best solution to solve this problem?

Each mAirList playout instance only has one encoder (but can maintain multiple outgoing Shoutcast/Icecast connections).

So station #1 is mAirList with its internal encoder.

And what is used for playout of station #2?

The output of station #2 is going to breakaway for soundprocessing and then to a standalone encoder (edcast) because I don’t know how to route it to the internal mairlist encoder.

But how do you do the playback for station #2 anyway?

Hello KC Radio,

What music / rotation software is using for station two!!
Thats the most urgent info iguess…

Like Torben said u got only one instance of encoder in Mairlist, so i guesst you cant use it to stream a stand alone rotation software.

Station #2 playout is also mairlist.

Then where is the problem?
Set up an encoder in that mairlist for station two?

You got one encoder in mairlist for station 1 and mairlist software for station 2 got one encoder so just set up 2 streams.

If i had 2 mairlist softwares i would do in that way.

I only have one instance of the mairlist program.
So if I understand it correctly, then I have to buy another mairlist license?

Now its more clear what you meant, you only got one instance of mairlist playing two stations. Yeah in that case you will need two separate programs to make an mairlist encoder. Otherwise you can keep doing it in your own way with an other streaming service.

If not Torben have a much better solution, but i think what you want to do isnt possible at the moment.

sometimes it is difficult to describe a problem.
Now it works, just artist and title information is missing on the second stream.
To buy a second version of mairlist is little to expensive for this problem…

Ok, so you’re using a single mAirList instance, with two playlists, to play out two separate channels?

The mulitple playlist feature is not meant for that

yes. that is the situation.
FYI, I have two stations with the same music. On one station there is a Dj (on specific times), on station two no DJ. So the listner can choose to have a DJ or not.
Is there a solution to have the artist/titel info on the second station?

I’m afraid not, because the Logging interfaces cannot filter by playlist.
