As scheduled events and actions lists are built, the mAirList manual suggests that one should create an action list file (.mla) and then schedule that file within the scheduled events (page 27, bullets 1-6). My question is why the need for the .mla file? It seems to be an extra step to create a .mla file. Why not simply list the individual actions within the scheduled event and not use the .mla file? ???
In other words, if you DO save your most-used sequences of actions as MLAs, you can not only easily copy them to another PC, you also easily back them up, and also you can quickly ‘reload’ them if anything gets stuffed up by ‘tinkerers.’
You can also use the saved MLA(s) as a basis for slightly modified actions, plus if you keep ‘versions,’ you can compare one against another.
It is your choice to use MLAs or not, though. Personally, I’d say it’s best practice to do so.
