Mairlist start next times

(moved to correct forum)

OK, I hope I can explain this properly,

I’ve seen it personally and i’ll use 20 mins worth to show as example
Load a few tracks

Start Next Time’s at “kick off”
00:11:09 (Live version November Rain so I can get coffee hehe)
00:15:16
00:19:33 * by here it now changed to :35 so I gained (lost) 2 seconds
00:19:37 (ID) (Now its reporting :40) so 3 seconds
00:22:44 now : 46 back to 2 seconds
00:26:57 its still held only 2 seconds with time reaching :59

Some of these have fade outs, some not, I note that hte start next time reflects the fade out time, not the full track time - yes, thats good, in this example November Rain actually has time for 11:17, so mairlist does right there, but i cant see how it keeps altering as it goes.

When I do a 3 hour shift, I can be at 20 mins to the hour set for news to start next right on 06:00:00, and by time it gets there, the last track might still be playing until 17 seconds passed.

We even tried another computer in case (diff hardware) same result.

Is there “hidden” conditions that make this time blow out? - It never subtracts, always end up after it initially says.

… Hope I’ve explained this clearer than mud

Maybe it assumed incorrect durations for some files? So a “wrong” duration is stored in the DB and used for the advance calculations? And when the files are opened for playback, the actual duration differs, and everything shifts a bit.

Are there any variable bitrate (VBR) files involved?

Hrmm post went into thin air - it says my screenshot failed security checks, and ate all my words too!

OK upon checking, all files are 320 CBR, I thought one was vbr but nope all my examples are 320 kbs CBR.

We use a playlist, in the browser window, and occasionally import on the fly with directory browser.
in my examples which will hopefully follow, only " Strangers on a train" is a directory import, the others have ramped MMD files, and the playlist mlp file that gets loaded on startedup in the browser section is rebuilt every time new tracks are added in the “year” playlists, we do not use mairlistdb.

sorry your forum refuses to accept my 450 kb jpg screen shot ot the smaller 300kb one so I cant show you
