You just need to tick “Tempo and pitch suppor” in the soundcart config (for both playback and PFL) of each player you intend to use pitch on. This will enable BASS_FX.DLL. In the PFL/cue dialog, you will then see two extra sliders for pitch and tempo.
Thanks Torben. Craig this is found in the config utility. Start the dos based mAirlistConfig tool located in the mAirList folder. Click Playlist and then onto each player in turn. Select the soundcard in the output devices.
Its the first option in the screen that opens up. Tick and save.
I thought that would solve your question. Tried this myself but the changes are not saved in version 2.1.41, in 2.1.42 the changes are saved but an error is generated. Exception processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c.
Found it, as Torben says once enabled click on the PFL button.
It looks like its on a track by track basis so unless there is a global setting you will have to tag each file. The slider does not give a percentage change so its all trail and error.
Still getting the same error message with 2.1.42 at home, I will have to try the studio version.
Can you please try the latest snapshot and also download the mAirList.map file. You should get a very detailed error report with references to the source code then, which would be very helpful for me.
By the way, there should be a number displayed next to the slider indicating the current value.
You need to copy the mAirList.map file into your mAirList directory, along with mAirList.exe. No further settings are required.
The “call stack” info in the error dialog will then show the source code references. You can use the “copy to clipboard” feature and then post the contents of the dialog here.
I have enabled all the boxes but do not see any sliders, nor any errors? The settings have saved.
EDIT my fault, was looking at the wrong PFL screen I think! I see the sliders on the individual player PFL’s, and can change the pitch etc, but the numbers to the left of them dont change so I have no idea what values ive got set!
It shows the numbers now, but once exited the screen it doesnt show them again for that track, it just goes back to 0 despite it being at +2.5 is there a way to show what the pitch has been set at already?
Ah, I thought it was just me who had this problem… I thought I’d give the pitch thing a go (not a big use for me), and whilst it worked - the pitch sliders didn’t seem to reflect what I had set when clicking “OK” (ie: save details to current-Playlist-only).
