I have a problem with Mairlist. Sometimes all of a sudden Mairlist is starting to speed up. When playing a song the seconds start getting faster and faster and connection to encoder is lost.
In this case all audio processing relies on the Windows real time clock as its “wordclock”. When the Windows clock is going to slow or to fast, so will the players in mAirList.
I have seen cases where Windows would throttle the clock because of inappropriate power saving settings, so the players will run slower when the computer “sleeps” (not really sleeps, but power is throttled). When the computer “wakes up” again, mAirList notices that it’s too far behind and will try to catch up, so the players run much too fast then.
This can also happen on virtual machines, there are some older hypervisors that have a bug that affects the real time clock. That’s why I asked if it’s a VM or not. On physical machines, it’s most likely caused by Windows power settings.
