I have noticed that when saving inside of mAirlist, like ‘playlists’ etc. Into a folder you have selected, every-time you go back to open say a ‘playlist’ mAirList has forgotten the folder and resorts to the top folder or directory, never remembering where you have organized and saved, and reopened files. When I got to open a playlist file in my playlist folder, mAirList should always remember that, not reset each time and then I have to go looking to find the folder again. This is supper annoying and in most other programs they seem to remember locations. Can this be fixed?
I had claimed this isuue before, but to no avail. (I. e. if I save a playlist, mAirlist will do. If I save some configuration afterwards, the preselected folder is the playlist folder. If I save a further playlist thereafter, the config folder appears and so on. I was told that mAirList could not handle this, but I know that other software does.)
Hi, as @tondose wrote it is not possible because of the structure of the programming timeline (and yes, I hate it too).
BUT there’s a small workaround to at least start every opening / saving action from the same base folder to avoid clicking through the whole tree structure…
In the configuration just define a standard path/folder for playlists:
I had the same idea and use it, too.
However, when I export a playlist to my external hard drive, I need to start the complete way to the new subfolder.
The problem is, when you define a Default Directory, the developer of mAirList can argue, that it follows your Default Directory. This is not really a solution.
A “workaround”? I’m not sure.
This is unsatisfactory.
My DAW always remembers in which folder I have exported the file in which Codec.
Even Adobe Audition 3.0 remembers the folders. We all know how old THAT is! In trying a few more programs on my PC, almost every program remembers it’s default or last used location. This is rather bizarre mairlist has this issue.
