mAirList doesn't shuffle tracks particularly well

I have about 500 tracks, but I don’t think mAirList shuffles them particularly well. It often plays songs one after another in the same order I added them to the drive. Is there a better way to mix the tracks more randomly, or does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Regards Junker

The best way to mix the songs more efficiently is to use multiple virtual folders where the songs are distributed.

For example:

Folder 1 has 700 songs
Folder 2 has 250 songs
Folder 3 has 60 songs

Even then, the result is significantly better than if you were to play just one folder containing 500 to about 1,000 songs. mAirList can’t do much with just one folder. It has to follow the spacing rules and plays this list “as randomly as possible,” but in the end, it just plays all the songs in a row.

The result would definitely be more varied if you split the songs across the virtual folders.

As @Torben always says: “The Scheduler remains a Mini Scheduler” and not a full-fledged music planning tool. Despite all possible settings, this phenomenon will continue.

The advice of @Liam above is already a big improvement and I also recommend significantly increasing the number of tracks from 500. With only this number of tracks you will continue to achieve a lot of repetition.
