mAirList does not remember my DHD firmware version

Recently I upgraded my RM4200 mixer to a RM5200 (new controllercard), so I went from firmware 5 to firmware 7. When I change this in Control Panel - Remote Control - DHD ECP it will be remembered as long as I don’t close mAirList. When I completely close and restart the software then the firmware selection is back to 5.x. I use mAirList version 7.4.5

Please note that the Control Panel is only a part of the Configuration which can be (optional) temporarily, but not persistent.

Would you please open the Configuration app and check if this option is set?

If yes (checked), all changes in the Control Panel will be saved in the Configuration. If not, all changes are lost when you close the playout window.

By the way, you should not have the Configuration and the Control Panel being opened at the same time: Possibility of conflicts of saving the settings. Who was first, who saved last?

My proposal: Change the new remote option in the Configuration app. When the error still occurs, it seems to be a bug.

Hope that helps.

Hi Uli,

Thanks for your quick reply.

The option “Auto-save changes made in Control Panel” in the configuration app was already enabled.

I just closed mAirList and opened the configuration app, changed the firmware setting to 7.x and closed the app. Then I opened mAirList again and the firmware was back at 5.x

Thank you for your feedback.

I think this is something you should discuss directly with Torben via support (support@mairlist.com) because it seems that this is very specific.

Good luck!

I resolved it by selecting “DHD ECP” in Remote Control, clicked Export and saved the *.ini file. Opened this ini file with a text editor and changed the line “ConsoleType=Firmware5” in “ConsoleType=Firmware7” and saved the file. Then I Removed the “DHD ECP” completely. And finaly I recreated it by clicking Import and imported that same ini file. Now it stays at firmware 7.

@Torben could this be a bug by writing the *.ini file from the config for this special combination?

Will be fixed in build 5834, thanks.
