At this moment I still have some mp3 files in my database. I Would like to replace the audio files for new wav files.
Is this possible in an easy way?
Yes I do understand that i have to change all cue settings, but i not want to place new files and delete the old ones… it can save me lot of time.

Yes, this is possible. 
When you delete the old files, the database entry still exists.
Now synchronize your database and look at the window: On the left screen you see the new files, waiting to be imported and on the right side the “missing files” (database entries which have lost the path to their physical storage place).
Mark the files that match to each other and synchronize them. There is no additional import needed.
The existing database entry refers now to a new storage place / or file.
This is how I replaced my mp2 files when I had a new FLAc rip.
