Hi. I’m trying to design a layout with the layout designer. Build 1190. I want to superimpose the cartwall over the playlist, but the playlist always overwrites the cartwall. If you use the default layout it works fine.
The Z-order is somewhat random and cannot be influenced. Why would you want the cartwall to be over the playlist anyway? Perhaps a separate cartwall window is an option for you? (Check mAirListConfig -> Cartwall -> Window options)

If you take the default layout for V4 you can toggle the cartwall on and off with the playlist visible behind it, which is what I want. However, I want to change the sizes and positions of the players, cartwall etc and still have the ability to toggle the cartwall on and off, which the layout designer will not allow. You can edit both items, but as soon as you move the playlist in front of the cartwall it becomes hidden behind it.

In the default layout, the playlist is not behind the cartwall, but it is actually resized so that there is space for the cartwall.
I propose you just turn on the “cartwall in a separate window” option. The position can still be determined through layout.ini, and as the cartwall window is set to “always on top”, it will cover the playlist.
Yes, that allows you to create a layout as such, but as soon as you use mailist in this configuration it will not shut down unless you use the task manager.
I admit I am new to V4, but have successfully used V2 layout designer for a few years. Has the layout designer, GUI etc changed fundamentally then?
