I’ll be putting some mAirList layouts into the Wiki later on this week - I’ll be adding a few “clone” layouts based upon other playout applications (people have asked me for a layout that resembles xxxx etc)… I’m working on an RCS Master Control layout, almost finished - just tidying-up some of the config options. The overall layout is show below; it work across a dual-screen system, and whilst not a 100% copy, it’s near enough for most
Screen1:
Screen2:
I’ll post all the INI files, along with an updated screenshot later… It’ll be designed for 1280x1024 resolution. I’ll also do a Myriad one, and perhaps BCX or EncoDAD one.
Sounds very good. Great idea for us radio boffins!
How about a Dalet? If that’s possible of course which i presume would be to be honest. I may give it a go myself now you’ve mentioned it ha ha!
Thanks.
EDIT- How have you done this without runing your usual set up? Is there a way to still use the layout deigner to create a new layout without destroying the original one?
OK, here’s the config files for this one… I’ve included the mairlist.ini to save some time, you will need to set your sound devices and possibly a few minor options, but it should work OK.
NOTE: You will need a dual-head (twin screen) system running at 1280x1024 resolution.
hi Charlie,
i like that look its a shame i dont have 2 screens could you put it on a one screen for me just get remove the
cartwall i never use them if you could i will be very thankful
Copy the config folder and rename it. Point the desktop shortcut to this new folder. If the new folder was called ryan the shortcut target (in properties) will be;
C:\mAirList\mAirList.exe -configdir c:\mairlist\ryan (assuming the mAirList folder is on the C drive).
In the original config folder create the new layout and add on the desktop a second mAirList shortcut (rename the shortcut to DEV etc).
Or simple install a second copy of mAirList and rename the shortcut.
Tony: I’d say that for SS32/Google, you need much more rounded corners than that.
You may find this thread: http://forum.mairlist.com/index.php/topic,3384.0.html is of interest.
Note that you DO need mAirList build 544 or later to be able to use BackgroundColor in the Players and Cartwall sections.
I’ve decided to go for something more visually attractive - quite time consuming playing around with borders and colours in Paintbrush, but it appears to be coming along

Hi Cad, I had been following that thread and had the same problem…I just never get round to updating my home version of mAirList.
One question again : is it possible to define a specific color for the player time, when ramp is playing ??
PlayingTimeFontColor change color for the player time when it’s begun. But, is it possible to give it a new color for ramp ?
Love the RCS layout, however I have a problem with it that I dont know how to solve. When I load items in the playlist, the files title and artist are cant be read. The same applies to with the players when the file plays. I tried with the layout designer, but I cant seem to fix them. Any suggestions? I am also attaching the config files if someone is skilled in programming
