I would like to have this as well on my studio pc . Can you tell me where to edit this

In that video, it looks like the EVENT player was set up like so:

Open CONFIG and:

  1. Change the number of Playlists to 2 (note the EVENT player has its own Playlist above it).
  2. Make sure Playlist 2 has ONE Player. Change the Playlist 2, Player 1 Caption to EVENT.
  3. Save these changes.

Open Layout Designer and place the new Playlist and Player where you want them.

If you want the countdown box as well, you need to add a Custom Screen Object which is a Player Countdown object.

I am playing now around with the layout manager. Where can i by the find the color settings like a yellow or geen layout for it

Hi Cad

What i think is more that it is a ramp1 intro what i can see

Maybe the people of Rautermusik from Germany can confirm ?

What i ment was the ramp intro countdown. I want to add this in a sepperate block instead of popping up in the main playlist screen

As I said before, use Config to ADD a CUSTOM SCREEN OBJECT, and select Player Countdown as the type of object after you click Add…

Colours are all set in CONFIG, not in the Layout Designer. Layout Designer does exactly what it says: it only MOVES and SIZES items within the layout and does nothing else.

(BTW: my name is CAD, not CHAD.)

Was not quit a wake this morning. Any how . I still see the Ramp intro in the middle of the playlist . I am seeing another countdown remaining time .

Still my question is not answerd how do i get the ramp 1 in the right area instead of in middle of the playlist

In Config, to remove the Ramp Countdown overlay from the Playlist:

  1. Click the Playlist (e.g. Playlist 1).
  2. Click the GUI Options tab.
  3. In the GUI Options tab, CLEAR the Show ramp countdown overlay checkbox.
  4. Save your changes.

In Config, to add a Ramp Countdown as a separate screen object:

  1. Click GUI, Custom Screen Objects.
  2. Click Add…, Player countdown.
  3. In the Player Countdown dialog Countdown tab, change Countdown Type from Remaining time to Remaining ramp.
  4. If you want to show only the ‘nearest’ ramp instead of all ramps (when an item has more than one Ramp), SELECT the Show only nearest ramp checkbox.
  5. Click the Appearance tab and set the font and colours the way you want them.
  6. If you want a border around the ‘box,’ click the Advanced tab and set the ‘box’ border the way you want it.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Save your changes.
  9. Open Layout Designer and move/resize your new Custom Screen Object to where you want it, then save your changes.

If you have already created a Player Countdown Custom Screen Object for your countdown, open Config and Edit it to match the settings I mentioned above (see User Manual, section 6.6.5).
CORRECTION: Section 7.6.5.

In general, it’s always best to fully explore all dialogs in Config, especially when you use a dialog for the first time. That way, you will not only find the settings you need first time, you will also understand the dialogs much better. If you just rush into Config to quickly do one specific thing, you will not really learn anything, and you will keep having to ask questions every time you want to do anything even slightly different.

I am always happy to help, but please do read the mAirList User Manual, which explains all of the settings in more detail than I can do here. (Sections 6.1.3 and 6.6.5)
CORRECTION: Sections 7.1.3 and 7.6.5.

i am still wondering if the playlist items can be set as like in the database editor . I can’t seem to find it
The rest is working fine now. i find it little bit to big. Smaller size is better.

To change the fonts, fonst sizes, colours, etc. in Playlists, Players, Browser, or Cartwall, you need to create a skin.ini file.

First, read section 8 of the User Manual to get a general idea of what you need to do, how a skin.ini file works, and what its contents mean. Section 8.1.10.2 refers specifically to the Playlist grid (the list of Items).

Then look in the Forum for skin.ini files which other users have uploaded, and download and study those files.
Try adding one of those to a ‘test’ mAirList setup to see what the file can do for you.

When you fully understand this, you will be able to build your own skin.ini file to suit your own needs. The golden rule to remember is to only put the changes you NEED into your ‘final’ skin.ini file.
