Increace of processor time after some hours

Hi all,
I have version 5.3,1 build 3156 running on a AMD fx 4170 Quad core and 4 Gb of memory.
Windows version , win 7 pro 64 bit.
Soundcard Marian Trace 8 , with latest driver , 3.03.16

Problem what occurs, is after initial start processor time is about 4 % ( mairlist running ), after some hours the pocessor time increases ( after 6 hours 36 % ), audio starts to stutter, some time with data bursts.

Playlist is loaded every hour bij the event manager, all music is MP3 192 Kb 48 Khz.

Running the audio card in directsound or wasapi, in both settings it occurs.

If Mairlist is stopped, processor time runs back to 2 % ( normal level ).
After restart again back to 4%.

Some help needed here. :o :o :o :-\ :-\

Quick thought, but may not be important, is your soundcard set to use 48Khz, or is it set at 44.1?

Reason for asking is, that the audio drivers maybe down sampling your audio to 44.1, if it is at 48. I know Audition does this too, so that might be the cause.

My Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 with 6GB RAM, runs at 5-8% CPU usage, and 1.64 GB of memory usage according to Task Manager, and that system is on 24/7. Only ever rebooted for system updates once a month.

All audio is MP3 320 Kb at 44.1 KHz, apart from jingles which are WAV at 44.1.

Hi all,

After intensive search, it turned out that my pc board had an issue with the usb ports.
I am using an logitec usb joystick board as interface for my remote control.
After updating the BIOS and installing recent chipdrivers, all is now at rest at about 4% processor time.

Also disabeld all processor trottle things, that even reduced the processor time by 1 %

problem solved ! ;D ;D
