Does anyone know a solution for the incorrectly displayed characters?
The file name is displayed correctly, but the database contains strange characters.
A few examples:
André Rieu (André Rieu)
Andrea Jürgens (Andrea Jürgens)
Loïs Lane (Loïs Lane)

This looks like an UTF-8 problem.
You said
WHERE does it display the filename correctly? In the explorer?
What about the metadata when you open it within other applications i.e. Explorer / Finder?
Are we talking about mp3/aac files or flac/wav?
mAirList is trying to read the native metadata that’s saved within the file. If this tag isn’t saved in the correct format the special characters would look like in your example…

There all .wav files
I thought .wav files don’t have metadata, or am I wrong?
