How works the Inverse cue marker

In 6.2 will be able to use the inverse cue markers:

How does this function work ?

Quote from Chancelog:

+] Inverse cue markers: Cue points can have negative values now, in which
case they are relative to the end of the track. Useful if you want to
keep Fade and Start Next markers when replacing the audio file with
one that has a different duration. New buttons in the Cue Editor list
to switch between normal and inverse mode.

It works as described. :upside_down_face:

Let’s think about the weather forecast, delivered from a 3rd party news and weather provider, having a different length each time (depending on the different weather forecasts).
You want to have a Start Next marker set 1.5 seconds before the element ends (jump into the fading “music weather bed” or so), but you don’t want to set it manually new each time you get a new forecast.

Simply set the Start Next inverse at 1.5 seconds to the end of the element and this will be done automatically, no matter how long the forecast will be.

What ideas do you have?

I cannot find “Next start inverse” in the cue editor.

In german we use to say “Ein Bild sagt mehr als tausend Worte”; I hope " A picture is worth a thousand words" is the correct translation.
