Hour restriction in scheduler-a bug?

We have a news file that we update every hour between 9am and 5 pm. The file is scheduled in the template as "“play specific file” with soft fixed time of 90 seconds. In the file properties we select that the file hould be only scheduled m-f 9am-5pm. However, when we generate the playlist, the files is scheduled from 7 am to 9 pm including Saturday. Is there a glitch in the system? Once we set the hour restricions, we export the file to database to make sure the changes are reflected.

“Export to database” is not necessary. Just edit the file from within the DB Library and click OK to save.

To investigate the issue, please enable the debug log in the Mini Scheduler dialog. A text editor will open with a lot of technical information about the scheduling process. Use the search function and look for the particular song.

In case the hour restrictions prevent the song from being scheduled, you should see the message “Hour restrictions are not satisifed” next to it.
