Sorry to post in English: I cannot speak German!
On a PC which has NEVER been connected to the Internet (and is not now), running XP Pro SP2:
I have installed PostgreSQL and it is AOK.
I have installed Java Runtime Environment 1.5.0_10, downloaded direct from the Sun Java site. This claims to have installed OK, but I cannot Verify the install online (does anyone know of a verification script or program I can run offline?).
I have created a new empty db in PostgreSQL and named it radioDB.
I have downloaded and unzipped RadioDB Beta 3.3, and amended the dbase.ini to use English/US; also changed the user and password to my PostgreSQL Admin ID.
So far, so good.
BUT… when I run radiodb.exe, I get a Java Virtual Machine Launcher message box: Cannot find main classes. Program will exit.
I have looked on the Java site which suggests uninstall and reinstall of JRE, which I tried and which made no difference. The other suggestion of spyware/adware/scanners doesn’t apply to this PC either.
The REALLY annoying thing is that I talked my colleague Robert through the same installs over the phone and it’s all working AOK on his PC, radioDB console displays correctly, etc. (!)
I’m sure there is some simple setting that is wrong: EVERY jar file on my PC also gives a ‘cannot find MainClass in manifest’ error.
PLEASE can someone help? MANY thanks in advance if you can!
