Please tell me the best mairlist version.
Looking on forum, looks there is many updates, and lots of bugs.
Is this program worth 700 euros?
Recently created studio. Bought new mixer. D&R Airence. Bought all licences PPL PRS English United Kingdom. Redy to stream on line, and on my community radio.
Downloaded older version of mairlist, running on auto mode, Player A and Player B play the songs.
New version of aircast and mairlist, plays only one player, auto mode. Please see on screen shot PNG attachment. Some small bugs on aircast and mairlist. Some times frees all program, cant do anything.
I do not want spend money for non quality software’s.
PS sufle mode missing on playlist…

So far I can tell you that mAirlist has no Quality issues.
If you see it freezing, somthing outside of mairlist goes terribly wrong. It could have several reasons, either Sound Card (configration), Network or file Access latency etc.
If you want to use 1 Player only or more Players in Automation, can be configured. The Default value might have Changed from the older Versions, because in most cases it makse more sense to have only one Player running the Automation. You can set it to use 3, 4 or what ever you want it to use.
I’m sure you will spend a couple of days configuring mAirList to work the way you want it to work. And this is probably the best reason to buy it. You don’t have to follow the workflow of the Software, but the Software can follow your workflow if you configure it correctly.
Cheers

Hi janistriblis ,
I am in the radio broadcasting business for over 30 years now . About a year ago, I started testing all the available automation softwares available on this planet because we wanted to either upgrade or move away from our existing automation system, which we used succesfully for more than 15 years. I feel extremely lucky that I discovered mAirList in the end ( after testing dozens of other systems) for a number of reasons:
- mAirList is rocksolid. I have 6 different stations running on one server (VPS) for over 6 months now without any problem whatsoever or without the need to reboot it. Not even a glitch in the audio of any of the stations for all this time. BTW: each station has its own soundprocessing plugin.
- mAirList is super flexible and will do exactly what you want it to do, your way. OK, it took me about a week to get everything working like I wanted it to work, but that was definitely worth the time spent.
- mAirList is built in an extremely clever way so that any feature that is not yet implemented (and is usefull to a number of users) could be programmed in a minimum of time. Sometimes in minutes.
- the support by Torben is more than excellent. If you really have a problem, he will answer you in very short time and most probably, it is not a problem of mAirList itself, but caused by one of your settings or something you overlooked.
- mAirList does not need specific expensive audio hardware cards to function and works with any imaginable audio file one can imagine.
- mAirList interfaces fluidly with a some of the best studio equipments like mixers and others in a very flexible way. I must admit that I did not try that myself yet, but from what I can see, it does as promissed.
- mAirList is updated and improved constantly in order to improve its features and the usability for its users.
- compared to other ‘professional’ systems that do more or less the same, mAirList is dirt cheap. Other systems with the same capabilities will cost cost you a lot more. Don’t compare mAirList to automation systems that you can buy for 99$ or so but that will force you to do it their (limited) way. This is a piece of professional software with all the bells and whistles you can imagine. It is definitely worth its price.
In short, IMHO mAirList is the only way to go if you want to work in a professional way in the radio broadcasting or webstreaming business.
Just my 2cts.
Frank
Hi Janistriblis,
Short answer, yes.
Like Croozemaster I’ve been in professional radio for 13 years among other things, and an engineer to 2 Community Radio Stations (one award winning!) here in the south (UK). I’ve also used a few software packages, but for my own project (finally launching this week!!) I committed to mAirList after a great deal of research.
I’ve also installed mAirList for another station in Gosport, a multi system installation for a former BBC man, and provide support for him too.
Need to talk, just hit me up on Twitter. I’m also a freelance I.T Consultant of 21yrs.
