Is there a way to introduce silence?

If i schedule an event at 20:59:58
A file of silence or dummy should introduce a short bit of silence between shows.
Show starts at 21:00:00

Previous item onair should either fadeout preferable before 21:00:00
so show starts without any overlapping fadeout from previous track/show/jingle.

Does this work at all?
Does it need to be scripted?

You can insert a silence item of length at your discretion.

Could you advice on were i do it?

In the menu bar go to Add → Silenceand set the duration you like.
