I have an event that plays every hour, in automation.
On Saturday I have a 2-hours special program 10h-12h AM. I would like the event to skip playing in this certain hours. I tried “0-9, 12-23” filled in on Hours in the Event, but this doesn’t work.
Don’t think so as you can see in Torben’s screenshot.
As a workaround, you could make two Events for the Saturday, one from 0-9 and the same one from 12-23. This should definitely work.
Most people have exactly one event: The one that reloads the playlist at the TOTH.
Why not try to schedule everything in the DB?
And regarding the original question, the syntax with the comma in between (but no quotes) should really, really work. When you enter “0-9,12-23” (without the quotes), click OK and then re-open the dialog, what’s inside the hour field then?
This Event plays 2 separate sort of News files, twice every hour, around xx:12h en xx:42h. The action of the Event is “Insert file”, The files are in the mAirList DB.
This way I can schedule the Mini Scheduler a week ahead, with no need to enter the files at the start of the week. They are assigned to the Event on a daily bases. To make a distinction, an unique Event has been created per day. 14 Events total, Works like a charm.
I suspect that I can achieve the same by using the Hour Template in the Mini Scheduler. However, I will then have to have all the files in the correct folder at the beginning of the week. Or better, re-generate the Mini Scheduler every day, which is not our preference.
I have four Events to reload the playlist, this way I’m able to choose from 4 different playlists on the fly. Usually only the master playlist is used.
Four different Events are used to start a script for Hookcontainers. The containers are all different depending on the time of day.
Five Events are used to remove Production Elements, Error Items and Dummies. Mainly for cosmetic purposes.
Three Events are used to insert a stream from a friends station on the fly: one to insert the stream itself, one to remove a Production Element and another to insert a jingle for a nice transition. Just by checking three events (and unchecking the reload playlist) all is done automaticaly.
So all together 10 Events are used every day.
You know Torben, I always like to stretch the possibilities of mAirlist
