Error starting up

Hello Guys

Can someone help me out recieving an error starting up mairlist on our studio pc

8-8-2012 21:02:28 Error Error initializing ASIO device 1: BASS_ASIO_Init: can’t find a free sound driver (BASS error 3)

I do not know where to find the problem

Either some other app. is ‘locking’ your ASIO card, so when mAirList starts, Windows is saying ‘looks like your ASIO card driver only allows ONE program to use it.’

OR (more likely) your ASIO card’s driver is broken.

Downloaded the latest drivers from the esi website for my ESI MAYA MK 44 v1.11 drivers . Still recieving the same error

Hi Goos, have you tried backing up the device.ini to another location and creating a new device.ini?

This has worked in the past (version 2) for me.

Tried this did not help for me. Still the same . Checked again the sound drivers from esi are the latest. Also having 2 other asio soundcards on our studio pc. These are from Delta 66 and the Delta AP checked the settings it is only the ESI Maya 44 what causes this issue.

It is working Mairlist. But finding it a little bit inconveniënt that this message is there.

ASIO cannot be initialized if the card is already used in either ASIO or DirectSound/WASAPI mode, even in another application.

Check the “ignore this device” option in the ASIO settings in mAirListConfig to get rid of the message. Only if you don’t plan to use that card in ASIO mode anyway, of course.
